Bruce Golden

Bruce Golden

Bruce Golden joined Accel Partners in 1997 and primarily focuses on investments in enterprise software and internet companies, with a particular interest in data management, analytic software, next-generation SaaS and Open Source software companies. Bruce currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors at several private and public companies, including Amobee, comScore (SCOR), Qliktech (QLIK), Responsys and Streambase. Bruce was responsible for Accel's investment in Ajuba Solutions (acquired by Interwoven, Inc.), eCommerce Industries Inc. (acquired by Insight Venture Partners), Exchange.com (acquired by Amazon.com), Itemfield (acquired by Informatica), Offermatica (acquired by Omniture), and SupportSoft (SPRT).

Prior to Accel, Bruce held executive marketing and sales positions at Illustra Information Technologies, a pioneer in the area of object-relational databases. In 1996 Illustra merged with Informix Software, where Bruce became General Manager of the Data Warehouse Business Development Unit. Prior to Illustra, Bruce spent eight years at Sun Microsystems in a variety of leadership roles, including launching Sun's efforts into the financial services market, moving to Hong Kong to help establish the Sun Asia subsidiary, and managing the market development organization upon his subsequent return to the US.

Bruce is an active member of the World Economic Forum and is on the Selection Committee of the WEF Technology Pioneers Programme. Bruce holds an MBA from Stanford and a BA from Columbia University.

Paul Wahl

Paul Wahl

Paul has held a number of senior executive roles in major enterprise software businesses and he brings extensive knowledge of global marketing and operations to Causata. Until March 2003 Paul served as president and COO of Siebel Systems Inc., a leading provider of e-Business application solutions. Prior to that, Paul served as CEO of SAP America, Inc., and was an executive board member of SAP AG. During his eight year tenure at SAP, Paul oversaw operations in North, South, and Central America, as well as worldwide marketing and partner relationships. Paul also helped guide product development, was responsible for introducing R/3 worldwide and grew SAP America, Inc. to be the most profitable division of the world-renowned software company.

Paul Phillips

Paul is a pioneer in helping companies to win by becoming more data driven. He's also an experienced entrepreneur with a track record for building world-class companies. In 2000 he founded Touch Clarity, a software company that developed the online content targeting platform that was to become the platform of choice for the largest consumer Financial Service companies, including American Express, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America. Following the acquisition of Touch Clarity, Paul worked as VP Test & Target at Omniture Inc. until 2008. Prior to 2000 he was a Managing Director for Urban Science, a retail network planning and database marketing company with an outstanding data mining team that won the KDD Cup twice. Paul is a frequent speaker at conferences about marketing, customer experience and analytics. He also maintains a close relationship with the academic community - most recently as part of the Strategic Advisory Council for PASCAL, an initiative for advancing the sharing of knowledge relating to pattern analysis and statistical computational learning. Paul holds a BSc from Bristol University.
