Role

  • Primary network operations and client implementation support engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support for all client implementations.
  • Perform systems and network administrator tasks for internal operations systems and production systems.
  • Support client services group with all client implementations, which involve deploying our software platform, scripting adapter modules and configuring system software.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years experience as a systems/network administrator or systems engineer.
  • Worked in a 7/24 operations environment of a client/server environment.
  • Background working with multi-tenant hosted environments and distributed system platforms.
  • Experience in setting-up, administrating, and scripting in a Linux, Unix, and Windows environments.
  • Experience in scripting and coding in a Linux and Unix environment.
  • Experience working in multi-group environments both internally and externally.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • BS Degree in Computer Science preferred or related industry experience.

Skillsets

  • 2 – 3+ years coding experience in one or more languages/frameworks: perl, shell programming, ruby, python, php, C++.
  • 2 – 3+ years experience in installing and administering Linux/Unix systems from the ground-up.
  • Understanding of network protocols and network administration.
  • Experience with DNS, NFS, routing and switch administration.
  • 2 – 5+ experience with MySQL and non-SQL databases.
  • Experience in developing SQL queries and management of MySQL databases.
  • Familiarity with statistical databases and models is a plus.
  • Familiarity with network management of a distributed server platform environment.
