Paul is a pioneer in helping companies to win by becoming more data driven. He's also an experienced entrepreneur with a track record for building world-class companies. In 2000 he founded Touch Clarity, a software company that developed the online content targeting platform that was to become the platform of choice for the largest consumer Financial Service companies, including Amex, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America. Following the acquisition of Touch Clarity, Paul worked as VP Testing and Targeting at Omniture Inc. until 2008. Prior to 2000 he was a Managing Director for Urban Science, a retail network planning and database marketing company that had an outstanding data mining team that won the KDD Cup twice. Paul is a frequent speaker at conferences about marketing, customer experience and analytics. He also maintains a close relationship with the academic community - most recently as part of the Strategic Advisory Council for PASCAL, an initiative for advancing the sharing of knowledge relating to pattern analysis and statistical computational learning.Paul holds a BSc from Bristol University.
John brings over 17 years of experience working in start-up companies in the UK and US. Prior to Causata he was co-founding VP of Engineering of Electric Cloud, Inc. and VP of Internet Technology at Interwoven, Inc. He holds a BA in Mathematics and Computation and a doctorate in computer security from Oxford University. His contributions to the open-source community include the award-winning POPFile machine learning program and he’s the author of the book The Geek Atlas.
Gareth has been bringing exciting products to market for over 15 years. At Causata he is focused on product management, marketing and business development. Gareth was previously a member of the Skype executive team as the General Manager for the global Mobile and Hardware Devices division. He joined Skype in 2005 before the eBay acquisition and built the team that introduced Skype for iPhone, Sony PSP, Philips Cordless Phone, Netgear Wifi Phone and other mobile handsets. Prior to Skype Gareth ran marketing for Red Hat’s core product Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Gareth has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
